Ingredients
2ea. 8oz. beef filets
8oz. baby portobello mushrooms, halved
1 shallot, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt and pepper
2/3 cup red wine
2 tablespoons butter
Cooking Directions
Season beef with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat pan over medium high heat with olive oil.
Sear filets until desired doneness on both sides, remove and set aside to rest.
In pan with remaining juices add shallots and mushrooms. Cook until shallots start to look crispy.
Add wine to pan and allow to reduce by half. Then add butter to thicken sauce.
